Cycling from Lonavala to Lohagad
Lonavala to Lohagad is a 14 km patch, through open grounds of lonavala, followed by a some thick forests. It has a patch wherein you ride through a narrow streak of rocky walls of 200 ft height on both the sides. This will offer you some awesome views of the surroundings, and take you straight till Lohagadwadi village, which is the base of the Lohagad fort.
Lohagad (Loha + gad) the name says it all. Its the iron fort. on of the strongest forts of Sahyadris. Lohagad is very wide spread fort. There are 4 doors to Lohagad from the nearby village -Lohgadwadi. i.e. 'Ganesh Darwaja' , 'Narayan Darwaja' , 'Hanuman Darwaja' and 'Maha Darwaja'.
Explore the fort, have Lunch, and further ride back till Lonavala station (14 kms)
