Malshej Ghats is one of the most famous monsoon destination, which needs no introduction to Mumbaikars. Just a few kilometers away lay the village of Khireshwar. The village gives spectacular view of Harischandragad with its Citadel (बालेकिल्ला) and Taramati peak. From here one can approach Harischandragad via Tolar Khind Route or via Rajmarg which climbs in a gully near its Citadel keeping the needle hole (नेढे) to its right.
Right next to Malshej Ghats, is the Pimpalgaon Joga Dam, which is the largest waterbody in the surrounding region. Direct accessibility by the kalyan - nagar road, and a village in the nearby vicinity, makes it one of the safest camping place. Near to the road, but still away from the crowd, makes it an awesome experience for caming.
