Lohagad Fort

Lohagad (Loha + gad) the name says it all. Its the iron fort. on of the strongest forts of Sahyadris. Lohagad is very wide spread fort. There are 4 doors to Lohagad from the nearby village -Lohgadwadi. i.e. ‘Ganesh Darwaja’ , ‘Narayan Darwaja’ , ‘Hanuman Darwaja’ and ‘Maha Darwaja’.

The famous spot on Lohagad is ‘Vinchu Kata’ – the scorpion tail.

Amazing view of Pawana Dam is also visible from the back side of Lohagad.


Some sculptures can also be seen on Maha Darwaja.

DAY 1 :Sunday, 30th July 17

Meeting Point for Mumbai People : Pritam Hotel Dadar East @6:00am
Pickup Point : Yogi Hotel , Diamond Garden , Chembur @ 6.15am
Pickup Point : Vashi below Main Birdge @ 7.00am

Travel by private vehicle till the Base Village.
Reach Base Village by 9:30 - 10 am
Breakfast at the Base Village
Start our trek by 10:30 am
Reach the Top, Lunch, Explore n Descend.
Reach the base till 4:00 pm.
Evening Refreshments
Start the return journey, reaching Mumbai by 9.30 pm tentatively.

Lunch for Sunday.

A bottle of water (At-least 2 Ltrs),


TORCH with extra batteries (compulsory),

Cap etc,
Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits, etc.
